Bengaluru: Fortis Healthcare is elated to announce the inaugural Fortis Cancer Summit, an event poised to revolutionize the landscape of oncology care. Scheduled for the 27th and 28th of January at the Sheraton Grand Bangalore, Hotel at Brigade Gateway, this summit represents a significant stride in cancer treatment innovation and education.
Accredited as a Continuing Medical Education (CME) event, the summit is themed “Practice Changing Advances in Precision Oncology”. It aims to highlight advancements across the entire continuum of cancer care, including screening, diagnostics, prognostics, therapeutics, homecare, and end-of-life care. The summit is anticipated to serve as a dynamic confluence of ideas, experiences, and pioneering innovations, poised to drive a transformative shift in the realm of cancer treatment and research.
The event is honoured to host the Honourable Health Minister of Karnataka, Sri Dinesh Gundu Rao, as the Chief Guest and Dr. Prem Kumar Nair, Group CEO – IHH, as the Guest of Honour, marking the inauguration of the summit on 27th January at 11:00 AM.
The Fortis Cancer Summit will assemble over 800 specialists and faculty from national and international arenas, including more than 250 experts from various oncological disciplines. These professionals, hailing from Fortis Cancer Institutes and other renowned centres, will engage in collaborative sessions to discuss the latest advancements in diagnostic tools and therapeutic oncology innovations.
Key focus areas of the summit include cutting-edge research and studies of 2023 in diverse cancer types. Discussions will encompass emerging therapies such as Artificial Intelligence in Precision Oncology, Immunotherapy, Targeted Therapies, Liquid Biopsy, CAR-T Cell Therapy, and Radio Molecular Theragnostic. Furthermore, the event will showcase technological advancements like Gamma Knife Radiosurgery, Robotic Cancer Surgery, Proton Therapy, and MRI LINAC, emphasizing techniques that minimize side effects to healthy tissues.
The summit also serves as a platform for oncology students and young doctors to present their research, fostering a culture of innovation and learning. In addition, clinicians from Tier 2, 3, and 4 cities will offer
