Steal bins were set to tone in drive of plastic cleaning on 2016 during the tenure of Mayor V. Rajendra Babu .

The health squad set up by the Corporation to check the disposal of plastic wastes taking place in the city are inactive now. Centres opened to collect plastic wastes in the city is not operating anywhere in the city.
The condition of small steal bins is really worse. Grasses are piled up in these small bins. And remain shut in all centres in Kollam Corporation.
